It's very helpful.Ī couple of details that may be of benefit: Thanks Rev Doc Drew, Mike, Tom, and Jason for your thoughts. So the question is, will a Hawkins model 25, or Jostam Hi-Gun repro be comparable in felt recoil to a Pachmyer 752 or S325 White Line?, or do I really need to decide between authenticity and comfort?.

The only pad that seems to have been factory available in 1918 is the Silver's pad which I hear is very hard. I have many modern pads on various Elsie's and Hunter Fulton's and love the way they shoot. Even though Kenneth's goal is to put the gun back into proper tune and high condition, it will probably be a shooter as well (mostly skeet and sporting clays with some trap). I'd really like to do a period pad on this gun, but have never shot anything with a repro pad before. One of the items is to replace the repro plastic butt plate with a recoil pad. I took it straight to Kenneth Myers in New Oxford PA for several items that needed attention. two barrel set (28" open chokes and 30" tight chokes) with a straight grip stock (probably not orig, but in great shape). I recently picked up a matching numbers 1918 Field Grade L.C. I'd like to throw out for discussion the choice between a modern recoil pad versus a period correct version. Hi All, and a Happy New Year to everyone. Posted by Billl McNett on January 4, 2016, 4:41 pm The pronounced difference in severity and duration of postprandial lipemia among subjects with varying HDL2 levels may help to explain the negative correlation between the risk of atherosclerosis and HDL cholesterol levels. The L.C. Our data indicate that normolipidemic individuals with high HDL2 levels in the plasma are able to clear alimentary fat at a faster rate than normolipidemic subjects with low HDL2 levels. In two subjects followed for 3 yr, when HDL2 levels rose or fell, the triglyceridemic response decreased or increased, respectively (r = -0.944 r = -0.863). Triglyceridemic response was correlated positively with fasting triglyceride concentrations (r = 0.450, P less than 0.02) and apoB levels (r = 0.396, P less than 0.03). No correlation was found between the triglyceridemic response and the levels of total cholesterol, HD元, and apoA-II. The magnitude of triglyceridemic response showed a negative correlation with the plasma levels of HDL2 (r = -0.860, P less than 0.001), HDL-associated cholesterol (r = -0.605, P less than 0.001), and apoA-I (r = -0.459, P less than 0.02). In the fasting blood samples, concentrations of apolipoproteins (apo) A-I, A-II, and B were determined by radioimmunoassay, and those of high density lipoprotein (HDL) subfractions HDL2 and HD元, by zonal ultracentrifugation.

A fatty test meal was administered orally, and postprandial plasma triglyceride levels were determined. Triglyceridemic response to a standard oral fat meal was determined in 28 healthy subjects and related to the levels of several lipids, lipoproteins, and apolipoproteins in the post-absorptive plasma.
